INPUT Named One of Virginia's Fastest Growing Companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program
A loyal network of over 1,200 member companies finding opportunities and teaming partners to win government contracts support INPUT’s strong growth and leadership position
Reston, VA – September 29, 2006 – INPUT, the authority on government business, has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Virginia, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies in the state by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2001-2005.
INPUT's president, chairman, & chief executive officer, Peter Cunningham, credits the company's strong growth to the loyalty of its over 1,200 member companies who use INPUT to find business opportunities and develop strong teaming relationships to win more than $50 billion in government contracts annually. “We are honored to be recognized by Deloitte for the third year in a row as one of the fastest growing companies,” said Cunningham. “We will continue our strong growth by remaining focused on providing our members the highest quality and most comprehensive information services to keep them competitive in the federal, state, and local government technology markets.”
“To rank on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years,” said Andrew Harrs, Deloitte’s southeast TMT RIL regional managing partner. “INPUT has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in Virginia, and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality.”
INPUT’s increase in revenues of 459 percent from 2001 to 2005 resulted in a 22 ranking in the Technology Fast 50 for Virginia.
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies’ technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
Winners of the 16 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies.
