INPUT Named One of Virginia's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50

Over 1,100 active members winning over $50 billion in government contracts annually support INPUT’s strong growth and leadership position

Reston, VA – October 12, 2005 – INPUT, the authority on government business, has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Virginia, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations.  Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2000-2004.

INPUT’s president, chairman, & chief executive officer, Peter Cunningham, credits the company’s strong growth to the loyalty of its over 1,100 active members earned by helping them win more than $50 billion in government contracts annually.  "We are honored that Deloitte has recognized us for the second year in a row as one of the fastest growing companies,” Cunningham said.  "We will continue our strong growth by remaining focused on providing our members information services to keep them competitive in the government market."

"Deloitte’s Virginia Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision, and temerity to succeed in today’s very competitive technology environment," said Andrew Harrs, principal, Deloitte LLP in, Mclean, VA and southeast region telecommunications, media and technology practice leader. "We applaud the successes of INPUT and acknowledge it as one of the very few to accomplish such a fast growth rate over the past five years."

INPUT’s increase in revenues of 533 percent from 2000 to 2004 resulted in a 27 ranking in the Technology Fast 50 for Virginia.

The Virginia Technology Fast 50 program is hosted by Deloitte & Touche LLP, along with Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr and media sponsors, PR Newswire and WTOP Radio Network.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2000 and $1,000,000 in 2004, be headquartered in North America, and be a "technology company," defined as a company that owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.  Using other companies’ technology in a unique way does not qualify.
