Edward Meyman

US General Services Administration


Mr. Meyman is a results-oriented senior manager with extensive expertise in the areas of General Management, IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Systems Development, Marketing and Business Development, Process Improvement, eBusiness and E-Government. Mr. Meyman has held various IT senior management positions supporting both Government organizations and industries. Currently, Mr. Meyman works for the Office of the CIO of the Public Buildings Service, General Services Administration. He is the Team Leader for Customer and Web Services, responsible for many large-scale systems and strategic initiatives, including Service Oriented Architecture framework (aka PBS eCommon Framework), Information Architecture framework (aka PBS Business Intelligence Framework), Java Application Server framework (aka PBS Portal), automation of PBS' leasing business process (aka eLease), and others. A key contributor to the IT paradigm shift at PBS, Mr. Meyman has developed strategies related to PBS' SOA, Data/Information Management, as well as a unified approach to software engineering. Prior to joining PBS as a Federal employee, Mr. Meyman was supporting the organization as a consultant, and was responsible for the implementation of the eBusiness Strategy. Prior to that, Mr. Meyman supported the US Dept. of Labor responsible for the IT-enablement of major workforce initiatives. Mr. Meyman holds a master's degree in theoretical linguistics and, parallel to his work in the IT field, is a professional poet writing in Russian.
