Bruce A. Brody

Vice President, Information Security

As Vice President, Information Security at INPUT, Mr. Brody is responsible for leading INPUT's Consulting practice in the information security field and providing thought leadership to the Federal Information Security Analysis program.

Prior to joining INPUT, Mr. Brody served as the Associate Chief Information Officer for Cyber Security at the Department of Energy. In this role, he was responsible for leading and directing all of the Department's cyber and information security initiatives and programs.

Previously, Mr. Brody served as the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cyber and Information Security at the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). While at the VA, Mr. Brody directed all cyber and information security activities and oversaw major expansions to incorporate such new missions as critical infrastructure protection, privacy, and active incident management and response operations. He also successfully led the Department's major acquisition programs, such as the VA Central Incident Response Capability (VA CIRC) and the Enterprise Cyber Security Infrastructure Project (ECSIP).

Mr. Brody also has over 20 years of executive leadership in information security, information technology, intelligence, and program management with the Department of Defense and private industry. He serves on the Government Advisory Board for the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, and has previously been a member of the Federal Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board, The E-Authentication Steering Committee, the Federal Identity Credentialing Committee and the Committee on National Security Systems.

Mr. Brody is the only individual who has served as the chief information security officer at two different cabinet-level departments and as a Level III program manager at three different cabinet-level departments. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He was recognized on Federal Computer Week's Federal 100 in 2004.
