Chris Willey brings over 17 years of information technology experience in senior management and web development to his role of Chief Technology Officer for the Government of the District of Columbia. Willey is responsible for a number of major technology initiatives in DC including modernizing the District's classrooms, providing the latest mobile technology to law enforcement, pushing towards a paperless government, increasing efficiency through cloud computing, and improving transparency and public access to create a more participatory democracy through technology.

Topics will include:

  • His role as Chief Technology Officer
  • Upcoming technology opportunities within the District of Columbia
  • Challenges and opportunities in leading a staff of 200 serving the District's nearly 600,000 residents and 80 DC government agencies and departments.
