Since April 2002 Vance Hitch has served as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief Information Officer for the Department of Justice. He is responsible for leading and implementing the effective and efficient acquisition and management of information technology and manages the Department's $2.4 billion IT programs. He also provides advice about the management of the Department's IT assets in its 2,000 locations across 500 US cities.

During this session Vance Hitch will address:
  • His role as Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Chief Information Officer
  • Upcoming technology opportunities, and a status update on major technology investments within the Department of Justice
  • Current challenges within DOJ, and how this will affect the technology vendor community
