Justice Appoints New CIO

Attorney General John Ashcroft appointed Vance Hitch as the new Chief Information Officer of The Department of Justice on March 19, 2002.

Hitch will oversee the Department's Information Technology troubles and will develop an IT strategic plan.

Hitch's background is in government consulting. He has 28 years of experience working on major government projects for the State and Defense departments, the National Security Agency, the CIA and multiple state and local governments.
